Bringing together people, groups and organisations for the benefit of Knowsley and its residents.

Knowsley Better Together is based on the simple principle that more can be achieved if people work together.

It recognises the fact that by sharing resources, skills, ideas and experience, people and organisations can make a bigger and more positive impact on everyone who lives, works and invests in Knowsley.

It could be something as simple as neighbours working together to ensure the elderly or vulnerable in their area have support in their community. Or it could be businesses coming together to promote Knowsley to new investors.

There are no limits to how working together can improve things for the people living, working, visiting or investing here and the opportunities to come together and collaborate are endless.

During the CoronaVirus outbreak Knowsley Better Together is more important than ever. People will be understandably concerned and need more support as changes or restrictions come into force that may impact on their daily lives.

As authorities work hard to manage a swiftly evolving situation, Knowsley’s communities can help too. Even the very smallest of actions can make a difference to those around us and particularly support the most vulnerable in our borough. We are already seeing so many positive examples of our communities coming together at this difficult time. Here are some things to consider:

Over the last 12 months, Knowsley Better Together has helped…

Friends Groups who have volunteered…
volunteer hours to maintain Knowsley’s parks and green spaces
people attended a free creative writing course at Kirkby Gallery and Prescot Museum
information and advice sessions provided to support residents’ personal independence
young people have been provided with the opportunity to talk about their mental health and have their voices heard
of participants who attended the ‘Remake Yourself Hub’ in Kirkby reported an increase in confidence
