Look after yourself, each other and the place where you live

We can all play our part by looking after ourselves, each other and the place where we live.

For example:-

  • Improve your health and wellbeing by taking the first step to stop smoking and improve your health. Health and support is available through Smoke Free Knowsley.  There’s also a range of health and support available on our Healthy Knowsley website offering support around weight management, stress, mental health support, healthy eating, support during your pregnancy and much more.

  • Check in regularly on your vulnerable neighbours and relatives. Do they need help putting their bin out / putting it back? Could you pick up a bit of shopping for them or pick up their prescription? Or could you just spare a few minutes for a chat and a cuppa?

  • We all want the place where we live to be the best it can possibly be. Let’s ensure we recycle more and reycle right and reduce the amount of waste that goes to landfill, pick up litter if we’re out and about and help our town centres to be thriving by shopping local.

There are lots of ways to get involved in your communities through volunteering – and many different opportunities to meet people, learn new skills and develop new friendships.

Here are some links to help you to see what opportunities there are – each with information about the next steps to get you on the road to volunteering.
