In Knowsley, there is a special centre dedicated to providing help, advice and equipment to support people to maintain their independence and mobility.  Whether you are deaf or hard of hearing, are living with a visual impairment, have reduced mobility, or simply want to prepare for the future, we have a range of equipment that support you at home.

The Centre for Independent Living is run in partnership with voluntary organisations, Knowsley Council and Livv Housing Group and is available for anyone living in Knowsley or who has a Knowsley GP.

Based at Huyton Business Park and open 8.30am until 4.30pm Monday to Friday, it has an open plan showroom with a wide range of equipment and supportive aids that you can view and test, including:-

  • Stairlifts and lifts
  • Wet rooms
  • Adapted toilets and bath chairs
  • Grab rails
  • Level access showers
  • Small kitchen aids
  • Beds
  • Lifeline alarms
  • Wheelchairs
  • Walking aids
  • Large aids and adaptations
