Innovate Volunteering offers a range of services including training, coaching and family and community projects, which aim to instill confidence, knowledge and self-belief.

Volunteers are pivotal to the project, not only to ensure that activities can be delivered, but also providing volunteers with valuable work experience, skills and a personal progression plan.

ourHub in Huyton consists of a ‘pay what you can’ community shop of pre-loved items and a safe space where people can talk to a trained volunteer and be signposted to a specialist service if needed. The key aim is to reduce loneliness and isolation.

total volunteers who support the local community

This includes the running of ourHub (a community building based on the St John’s estate in Huyton) which delivers a range of training and learning programmes as well as family and community activities, such as camping skills (followed by a camping trip), homework clubs and dementia groups.
