Knowsley residents, passionate about green spaces.

Many of Knowsley’s Parks and Open Spaces have dedicated ‘Friends of’ groups who work independently, as well as with Knowsley Council, to promote and improve the borough’s green spaces. Activities include helping with the upkeep of the parks through litter picking and conservation works. The groups also apply for funding from just a few hundred pounds for community events to several thousand pounds to improve green space facilities, and large scale infrastructural projects such as the £3 million Heritage Lottery Restoration of Bowring Park.
